KeyC offers a simple method to measure the active fraction of organic matter in your soils. It is sensitive enough to use as a predictor of a longer-term change in soil organic matter content within 2-5 years of a change in management.
It is used in combination with our KeySoil Status estimator or a consultant interview to confirm whether a management change is affecting soil organic matter in the way you expect.
The KeyC method builds upon pioneering research at Rothamsted Research Ltd. on soil organic fractionations.
